The American Red Cross Shelter Heroes program is a rapid, one-day (approx. 4-hour) training initiative that prepares volunteers to support local communities during disasters. It focuses on essential skills for operating emergency shelters, including registration, feeding, dormitory management, and providing comfort to displaced residents.
This training session includes all required courses to serve as a Shelter Service Associate and support shelter operations.

This training is open to both the public and current Red Cross volunteers.
